Nowadays everyone uses the internet, which helps to connect the world. Everyone is familiar with a few common terminologies like IP address, Subnet masks, default gateway, DNS server, or I can say the picture which is down below
what is the significance of this window?
The simple answer is this all terminology helps to communicate with the outside world. If I asked you how that might be difficult for some guys. Today in this blog I will discuss this terminology believe me guys networking is as easy as to look dangerous.

IP address: It is an address that gives a unique identity to our device in the network.

Subnet mask: It is used to define network size and how many, host machines are present in a network.

Default Gateway: It is a gate where all traffic traveled from one network to another network. Technically It is an interface where LAN is connected to the router.

DNS servers: DNS stands for Domain namespace /system. It provides IP to name mapping. In a production network, we are using a server to provides DNS service.
Example
Google.com=8.8.8.8 (DNS mapping)
People are unable to remember the number instead of a name, that's why DNS came into the picture.

A network is a communication media between two communicative devices, with the help of network devices, which are able to share information with each other. In communication engineering, the transmission media also are known as Channel. By there own characteristic the network has split into two-part - 1)Wire Network. 2)Wireless Network .
