What is Computer network?| Types of Network?

A network is a communication media between two communicative devices, with the help of network devices, which are able to share information with each other.
In communication engineering, the transmission media also are known as Channel.
By there own characteristic the network has split into two-part -
1)Wire Network.
2)Wireless Network.
Wire Network: In this type of network the communication media is made by wire. 
This is also known as guided media.
Examples: Broadband Connection, codeless telephony.
Advantages:
1)Less lossy communication.
2)Speed is much higher than wireless media.
Disadvantages:
1)Costly.
2)Bulky.
Wireless Network: Computer networks that are not connected with a cable this is known as a wireless network. This type of network is also known as unguided media.
Examples: Mobile Phone communication, WiFi.
Advantages:
1)Less costly
2)Increase mobility.
Disadvantages:
1)lossy communication.
